I am so grateful that my dear friend, Sarah, donated this stunning horse to the Sewanee Equestrian Program. Having known him since she first purchased him five or so years prior to his donation, I knew how lucky we were to have access to such a high quality horse that was such a solid citizen.
After a few years with us, I started to see a change in him. After ruling out medical issues, I set out one summer to see if I could find out what else might be wrong. That summer turned out to be one of the best for both of us. I rode him a couple days a week focusing on listening to him, thinking, experimenting and connecting many dots. While I had been developing my training and teaching program for years, I credit Presto with solidifying it that summer. Eight years later, that program continues to help numerous horses and riders find confidence and achieve their goals.
